The Penguins lost to the Predators, 4-1, in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup final Monday at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. The series is now tied at two games apiece. Here are some initial thoughts from the defeat.
It was over when: Nashville winger Viktor Arvidsson beat goalie Matt Murray on a breakaway to give the Predators a commanding 3-1 lead midway through the second period.
Heroes: Predators goalie Pekka Rinne did this in the second period.
And that’s about the story of his night. He gave up an early goal to captain Sidney Crosby on a breakaway, but came up huge to stop several more Penguins attempts from point-blank range.
