If Cup is hoisted, city asks that emotions not runneth over

Pittsburgh’s Department of Public Safety is ready for nearly 38,000 revelers to descend upon Consol Energy Center and its outdoor screen Thursday night as the Penguins take on the San Jose Sharks in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

The Penguins are up 3-1 in the series, and the game marks the first chance in more than 50 years for a Pittsburgh team to clinch its championship at home.

“We want folks to come to Pittsburgh and have a good time. The eyes of the world are upon us. […] If the Penguins are fortunate enough to win, we want to see on the morning news the good things that Pittsburghers celebrated.
