It’s hard to make any sense of the National Football League week to week. The Steelers, needing a win to take over first place in the AFC North, managed only a tie at home against the winless Lions … and that wasn’t the strangest outcome of the day, replete with upsets and blowouts (only four one-possession games):
Patriots 45, Browns 7: These two teams entered Foxboro 5-4, but Mac Jones played like a first-round pick and gave the home fans visions of Tom Brady with some precision passing, throwing for three touchdowns in just over three quarters of play.
