Here are Pittsburgh's favorite bad athletes, as chosen by Post-Gazette readers

Pittsburgh sports fans have a lot of favorite bad athletes. In fact, dozens of Post-Gazette readers responded to our call for nominations, and we needed this word cloud to display them all.

As you can see, a few in particular stand out.

Rico Fata — One of yours truly’s nominations. He scored just 21 goals in 120 games with the Penguins between 2002 and 2006. But he was fast, a trait that stuck out on some putrid squads.

Mario Mendoza — The infielder hit .204 in five seasons with the Pirates.
