CRANBERRY, Pa. -- Penguins forward prospect Filip Hallander fractured his leg and is expected to be out until at least Christmas, his club Lulea announced on Wednesday.
Hallander collided with an opponent and lost his balance on a scoring chance in Tuesday's game against Orebo in the Swedish Hockey League, and fractured his leg on the fall.
"He will be well taken care of by our medical team and we hope that everything goes as well and quickly as possible with his rehabilitation," Lulea general manager Stefan Nilsson said in a team release.
