Game at Penn State's Pegula Ice Arena kicks off Penguins preseason slate

The Penguins will play the first of their seven preseason games Tuesday, Sept. 19 against the Sabres at Penn State University’s Pegula Ice Arena.

Sabres owner Terry Pegula is a Penn State alumnus who donated $102 million for the construction of Penn State’s arena bearing his name.

Also according to the preseason schedule released Monday, the Penguins will hold their preseason home opener the next night against the Detroit Red Wings.

Both of those games are at 7 p.m.

Another highlight of the slate is a Kraft Hockeyville USA game, on Sunday, Sept.
