The Stanley Cup Final starts tomorrow night. It could be a really wonderful battle.
In one corner, you have the Edmonton Oilers, who have finally gotten to the main stage in Connor McDavid’s ninth season. Up to this point it’s been a frustrating journey for him (besides the individual awards and achievements). Ironically, the Oilers’ perceived weakness in net ended up being a main factor they took over against Dallas and won. Stuart Skinner has never held that level for very long, but he’s got to be confident after playing well. McDavid is joined by Evan Bouchard — who is having one of the best playoffs for a defenseman ever — as well as his running mates of Leon Draisaitl and Zach Hyman to give Edmonton the fire power needed to be champs.
