Ex-Penguin Recchi misses out on Hall of Fame

The Hockey Hall of Fame has bypassed former Penguins winger Mark Recchi for the third year in a row.

The Hall’s Class of 2016 consists of Eric Lindros, Sergei Makarov, Rogie Vachon and Pat Quinn.

Recchi, the NHL’s No. 12 all-time scorer with 1,533 points, ranks 20th in goals (577), 15th in assists (956) and fourth in games-played (1,652). He won Stanley Cups with the Penguins, Carolina and Boston.

Recchi is now the Penguins’ player development coach.
