Evgeni Malkin is making a habit of celebrating milestones through the early going of this NHL season.
Earlier this week, Malkin was one of several Penguins players who celebrated a milestone moment as he recorded his 800th NHL assist during the team’s 6-3 win over the Red Wings.
Last night, Malkin celebrated another milestone as he recorded his 1,300th NHL point during the team’s 4-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.
His 1,299th and 1,300th points both came on assists, with the goals scored by Kris Letang and Rickard Rakell.
Malkin is now just the third active player in the NHL with 1,300 career points.
