Derick Brassard played against the Penguins each of the past four postseasons.
Now, after the productive playoff performer misses two or three games while sorting out Visa issues, Brassard will join them for this spring’s Stanley Cup run.
It’s not hard to tell that he’s psyched about it.
“I’m just really excited to be joining the team that has won the last two Stanley Cups,” Brassard said on a conference call Saturday with local beat writers. “I think it’s a great opportunity for me right now in my career to have a chance to win. I’m just really, really excited to be joining the team.
