The Pittsburgh Penguins have assigned defenseman Harrison Ruopp to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
The move reduces Pittsburgh’s current training camp roster to 49 players (29 forwards; 16 defensemen; 4 goaltenders).
The Penguins, who are 2-1 thus far in the preseason, host the Columbus Blue Jackets at CONSOL Energy Center on Saturday, September 26 at 4 p.m. The game will be televised on Pittsburgh’s CW (WPCW) and it can also be heard on the radio at 105.9 The X.
Saturday’s game against Columbus is the fifth annual “Free Game for Kids.
