Frank Corrado is looking forward to a “fresh start” with his trade to the Penguins, he said Wednesday.
Corrado — acquired from Toronto at the NHL trade deadline Wednesday in exchange for forward Eric Fehr, defenseman Steve Oleksy and a 2017 fourth-round draft pick — wasn’t shy about his frustration bouncing between the NHL and AHL during his time with Toronto.
He’s hoping the change of scenery will lead to more consistent playing time and, eventually, a regular role in the NHL.
“It’s definitely a fresh start, and obviously I’m excited about that,” Corrado said.
