You think you were sick when the Washington Capitals used Sidney Crosby’s head for batting practice Monday night?
You should have been in the Penguins’ room after their 3-2 overtime loss in Game 3 of their second-round playoff series.
I haven’t seen that much angst since Adam Graves infamously slashed Mario Lemieux in Game 2 of the Penguins-New York Rangers second-round series in 1992.
“I saw him laying there,” Justin Schultz said of Crosby. “Obviously, it was tough to see. He’s our best player, the best player in the world.”
There was no definitive word on Crosby’s availability for the rest of the series, but it won’t be surprising if he is finished for the playoffs because of yet another concussion, at least the third of his Hall of Fame-caliber career.
