Crosby sets tone for Penguins in Game 4 win

OTTAWA, Ontario — The Penguins needed someone to set an example.

They didn’t have to look far, as captain Sidney Crosby provided it.

Crosby scored a goal, added an assist and registered five shots on goal Friday during a 3-2 win over the Senators in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference final at Canadian Tire Centre.

“I thought he had one of his best games [Friday],” Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said.

Crosby said he did not begin the game looking to shoot the puck more but simply took what the Senators gave him.

That resulted in nine of the Penguins’ 35 shots on goal credited to his line of Jake Guentzel and Chris Kunitz, in addition to significant offensive-zone time.
