Crosby likely to make season debut tonight against Panthers

Sidney Crosby is not officially in the Penguins lineup for tonight’s game against the Florida Panthers, but it would take something abnormal — some sort of setback between now and 7 p.m. — to keep him out.

Speaking after the team’s morning skate Tuesday at PPG Paints Arena, coach Mike Sullivan said it was tracking toward Crosby making his 2016-17 debut tonight against Florida.

Crosby sustained a concussion Oct. 7 and returned to practice in full capacity Monday.
