DALLAS — The partnership, Sidney Crosby said, has been progressing nicely.
That doesn’t mean it can’t get even better, though.
Crosby and right winger Phil Kessel were linemates for the Penguins’ regular-season opener against the Dallas Stars Thursday night at American Airlines Center. It is a pairing with great promise, because Crosby gets the best goal-scorer he has had for a linemate, while Kessel has his best set-up man.
“We’re getting there,” Crosby said. “I think we’ve gotten more used to each other with time.
“It will be an adjustment and we’ll talk things out a lot, but I think the main thing is that you’re seeing improvement and you feel more comfortable out there.
