In a lot of ways, the past two years could not have gone better for Conor Sheary.
He signed his first NHL contract, established himself with the Penguins — usually playing alongside the best player in the game — and, oh yeah, won back-to-back Stanley Cups.
But there were some bumps along the way, too, most notably in last year’s playoff run, when he was a healthy scratch for Games 5 and 6 of the Eastern Conference final. Now with a full NHL season under his belt, Sheary is hoping to add to his game an element of consistency that can elude young players making their name in the league.
