There are plenty of areas Daniel Sprong needs to work on if he’s going to make an impact for the Penguins in the NHL this season.
Confidence just doesn’t appear to be one of them.
Sprong, who scored a goal in the team’s training camp “championship” scrimmage Monday morning, said he feels plenty comfortable playing with and against full-time NHLers over the course of these past few days.
“I played [in the NHL] at 18 for a reason,” he said. “With the shoulder surgery last year, that was kind of a setback. But I’m excited for this year and hopefully I can start the season here.
