Penguins winger Patric Hornqvist will play in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup final Monday night, coach Mike Sullivan confirmed after the team's morning skate.
Hornqvist has been out of the lineup since Game 1 of the Eastern Conference final against Ottawa with an upper-body injury.
He participated in warmups prior to Game 7 against the Senators Thursday, but did not play. He also did not participate in the team's game-day skate Monday morning.
Still, Sullivan said Hornqvist will play, and won't need to be eased into the lineup Monday night.
"When our guys go in the lineup, they’re ready to play, period," Sullivan said.
