Penguins winger Zach Aston-Reese will be out "longer-term" with an upper-body injury, coach Mike Sullivan announced Wednesday.
Aston-Reese was injured during the team's practice Monday. He did not play Tuesday night against the Devils, and was absent from the team's practice Wednesday.
Under Sullivan, the "longer-term" designation usually means a player will miss at least a few weeks.
Aston-Reese, called up to the NHL for the first time earlier this month, was experiencing a strong start to his big-league career. He had four goals and two assists in 10 games for the Penguins, and even saw some action on the top line alongside Sidney Crosby.
