This week has been good for former Penguin Chris Kunitz.
Surprisingly good.
So much so, apparently, that it looks like it could torpedo a potential return for Kunitz to the Penguins, multiple sources confirmed on Wednesday.
Interest in Kunitz has been extremely strong, and he could have a number of teams — and good offers — to pick from.
The Penguins, who shed a substantial amount of salary Wednesday with the trade of Conor Sheary and Matt Hunwick to Buffalo for basically nothing, remain interested in potentially adding Kunitz.
However, the left wing may be able to get more in terms of money and role elsewhere.
