DALLAS — The Penguins played an NHL-high 19 back-to-backs in 2017-18.
A year later, their schedule isn’t quite as daunting.
The NHL released complete schedules for all of its teams Thursday, and that was one of the biggest takeaways from the Penguins slate of games.
The Penguins will open Oct. 4 at home against the Washington Capitals as part of a three-game homestand, tied for their longest of the season. Their longest road trip will be a five-game swing through the Western United States running Jan. 11-19.
The Penguins are home on Thanksgiving Eve, against the Dallas Stars, then in Boston the day after Thanksgiving.
