Anthony Angello and Sam Lafferty were assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Monday, Jim Rutherford announced on Monday.
The moves come after the Penguins acquired forwards Patrick Marleau, Conor Sheary, and Evan Rodrigues earlier in the day, and sent Dominik Kahun to the Sabres.
The moves are actual re-assignments, not just paper moves to retain their AHL eligibility for the remainder of the season. A player (unless injured) has to be on an AHL roster at the time of the deadline to be eligible to play in the AHL for the remainder of the regular season and postseason.
