During a game at Utilita Arena in Sheffield, England, Johnson sustained a significant injury to his neck following a collision on the ice. Despite his attempt to reach the bench, concerned teammates and officials intervened, promptly calling for medical assistance. Out of respect and concern, the game was postponed.
This morning, the Pittsburgh Penguins announced the heartbreaking news that Adam Johnson, aged 29, has tragically passed away due to his injury.
