CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. — Rugged forward Ryan Reaves has played fewer than four minutes in two of the Penguins’ seven games thus far, including a season-low 3:20 Tuesday in New York.
Asked about his reduced role by a pair of reporters following practice Thursday at the Panthers IceDen, Reaves didn’t shy away from the fact that he’d like to be playing more, either.
“Obviously I don’t want to be playing three minutes a game,” Reaves said.
But there’s a reason here, and it’s not that the Penguins are unhappy with Reaves.
“It has nothing to do with his play,” coach Mike Sullivan said.
