Just in the nick of time, we finally know the dates for the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals.
Game 2 will be Sunday afternoon on NBC. If the Penguins hold firm to the same schedule as last series, they may be flying back to Pittsburgh tomorrow night in between Games 1 and 2 to spend more time at home and be able to practice at their own facility on Friday + Saturday before heading back to DC.
Getting the only 2 day break so early in the series might be a blessing in disguise for the Pens since forwards Evgeni Malkin and Carl Hagelin are both day-to-day and out for Game 1 on Thursday.
