Barring something completely off the wall, Pitt wide receiver Tyler Boyd will easily be the highest Panther taken in this year's NFL Draft. This week, it was announced that he was the only Pitt player invited to the NFL Combine later this month.
Several local players will be at the event, including several from Penn State and West Virginia. However, Boyd is the only one from Pitt invited to attend. Having only one player invited isn't great, obviously, but things could be worse. Wake Forest is the only school not to be represented at the event.
