Tyler Boyd signs rookie deal with Cincinnati Bengals

Former Pitt wide receiver Tyler Boyd was selected in the second round of the NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. This week, he officially signed his rookie contract and now the work begins.

Boyd will reportedly earn just over $4 million under the contract. Of course, in the grand scheme of things, that doesn't mean he can't later renegotiate with the team. For now, though, he's slated to earn a little over $1 million per season with his new team.

As a second-round pick, he is expected to produce somewhat quickly. The fact that he plays a position where the team has some needs exacerbates that even more and Boyd could end up with a starting job in his first season with the team.
