Pitt lost a commitment from offensive lineman Ja’Kavion Nonar on Tuesday. The tackle out of Glades Central Community High School in Belle Glade, Florida, committed to Pitt on June 27 but decided to reopen his recruitment and explore other options amid interest from SEC programs Florida and Ole Miss.
“After a long talk with my peers and a lot of prayer, I’m announcing that I’ll be decommitting from the University of Pittsburgh,” Nonar said. “This does not mean that they’re canceled out, and I’d like to thank every coach at Pitt for the love they’ve shown.
