Prior to this season, I talked about how often in year three of a coaching tenure, there is a bit of a dip. It happens because any good players from the previous regime have graduated, and any that weren't good, or didn't fit with the new style, were weeded out. Therefore this is a gap between the players of the past coach, and the too young players of the new coach. Also, this usually is only the case of a team that doesn't have a ton of talent. At elite programs there is usually so much talent, and usually such good freshmen coming gin with the new coach, that this dip doesn't happen.
