1. I predicted 15 wins for Pitt this year, and quite frankly that was factoring in that a lot of things went right. I don't know of any college basketball writer, either locally or nationally, that predicted that many wins. It turns out that even I wasn't optimistic enough because they are definitely going over 15 wins this year. With a first round loss in the ACC tournament, 15 wins would have meant a 15-17 season. Pitt will have to go 7-11 in the conference to guarantee a winning record. That means 5-9 the rest of the season. If that happens, Jeff Capel would not only be the Coach of the Year in the ACC, he may be the national Coach of the Year.
