Former Pitt forward Sheldon Jeter has been playing overseas this season for Rilski Sportist of Bulgaria’s National Basketball League, and on Wednesday, he earned Player of the Week honors after putting on an outstanding performance in the team’s regular-season finale, according to Eurobasket.
Jeter paced Rilski in Round 22, contributing a game-high 20 points, seven rebounds and six assists in its 94-86 win over Spartak Pleven. On the season, Jeter is averaging 9.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists, so his efforts last week represented a step up from the norm.
