Earlier, it was known that Pitt defensive end Rashad Weaver would miss today’s football game against Austin Peay, reportedly due to COVID testing. Shortly before kickoff, the athletics department announced that seven players in all would miss the game due to ‘COVID-related protocols’.
The statement was a brief one — and did not name any players. That information will come. Eventually.
