Herd That’s heroic run in The Basketball Tournament was derailed by Overseas Elite on Saturday afternoon, as the Marshall alumni team lost 93-76 to the four- time champions. As a result, former Pitt power forward Ryan Luther has taken the court for the last time in the 2020 edition of the tournament.
The former Panther put on arguably his best performance of the tournament in the loss, as he had 11 points, four rebounds and one assist in 19 minutes. With that said, there was something to enjoy in each of Luther’s three outings with Herd That, as he put on a good defensive showing with three blocks in the first round and scored the game-winning bucket in the second round of the tournament.
