Report: Former Maryland WR Coach Chris Beatty to become Pitt WR Coach

After the hire of Mark Whipple, Pitt fans were waiting for Narduzzi to plug the last hole in his staff with the wide receivers coaching position. Per reports from Chris Peak over at Panther-Lair, Narduzzi has made a nice hire to fill the open role.

Beatty spent the last two seasons at Maryland. Since 2008, this is Beatty’s 6th different Power 5 job as a wide receivers coach or some type of co-offensiver coordinator position. In addition to Maryland, Beatty has spent time at Virginia, Wisconsin, Illinois, Vanderbilt and West Virginia.

Beatty has had a hand in the development of some pretty good players, and was known to be a great recruiting asset at Maryland.
