Former Pitt defensive end Rashad Weaver was, at one point, expected to go in the early rounds of the 2021 NFL draft. But by the start of the third day, he was still on the board. The Pitt alum would not remain there long, though, as the Tennessee Titans selected him with the 135th overall pick in the fourth round.
Weaver was the second player from Pitt to come off the board, as Patrick Jones II was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the third round with the 90th overall pick. Weaver and Jones both came to Pitt with two-star ratings from Rivals, but they were both able to exceed the expectations of recruiting analysts.
