Area of need: Defensive backs
The bad news is, Pitt loses three starters from its secondary. The good news is, its secondary was awful in 2016, so there’s really nowhere to go but up. Damar Hamlin, Jay Stocker and Therran Coleman are talented youngsters waiting in the wings, and Pitt may have more coming in this year’s recruiting class. The upside for Pat Narduzzi is these kids have talent, and they virtually have to be an improvement.
