The Pitt men’s soccer team has been trending in the right direction since Panthers head coach Jay Vidovich took control of the program in 2016, and it appears the team is expected to continue on its upward trajectory in 2018. Specifically, much is expected of sophomore forward Edward Kizza, Vidovich’s first big get on the recruiting trail, and senior midfielder Javi Perez.
Kizza and Perez are expected to be among the best players in the country this season, according to Top Drawer Soccer, which ranked the forward 99th and the midfielder 26th in its preseason ranking of the top 100 players in the nation.
