Pitt's wrestling team had four duals this weekend, facing off against Duke, Davidson, Brown, and Franklin and Marshall. The Panthers had a tough time with Duke but outside of that, the competition was pretty light and the team won all four.
The Panthers' toughest test came in the morning against Duke. It came down to the final bout and No. 20 heavyweight Ryan Solomon recorded a pin to give Pitt a 23-19 win. Duke has three ranked wrestlers and nearly defeated the Panthers despite giving away six early points to a forfeit at 125 pounds - they even led 19-17 heading into the final bout.
