The Pitt women’s soccer team faced No. 4 Duke at Koskinen Stadium on Sunday afternoon, and unfortunately for the Panthers, they were shut out by the Blue Devils in decisive fashion 5-0.
Blue Devils defender Katie Groff put her team on the board in the ninth minute and then scored again three minutes later to make it 2-0, Duke. That score would remain intact at halftime, but the Blue Devils would add to their lead in the second half.
Five minutes into the second half, Blue Devils forward Tess Boade extended Duke’s lead to 3-0. And five minutes later, Blue Devils forward Michelle Cooper tacked on another to make it 4-0.
