Pitt women’s soccer falls to Dartmouth 2-1

The Pitt women’s soccer team faced a tall order on Friday, as it traveled to Burnham Field in Hanover, New Hampshire, to take on a Dartmouth team that went 6-2-1 at home last season. The result was Pitt’s first defeat of the season, but freshman star Amanda West managed to extend her scoring streak to three games in the 2-1 loss.

The Panthers found themselves on their heels early on, as they were outshot 4-0 in the first half. That forced an Amaia Peña save in the fifth minute and saw Pitt defender Aideen O’Donoghue receive a yellow card in the 34th minute.
