The Pitt women’s basketball team starts ACC play on Thursday as the Panthers will face Virginia.
The team actually isn’t quite done with non-conference play. After facing the Cavaliers, Pitt (7-5)will play a game against Chicago State. But following that contest, it’s all ACC games for the rest of the regular season.
Unlike the men’s team which opens conference play against a Top 25 Miami team, the women’s team starts out a little easier. Virginia is no guaranteed win for the Panthers, but at only 7-6, they are likely one of the weaker teams in the ACC this season.
