The Pitt men’s basketball team is back in action with a game tonight against the Louisville Cardinals.
Louisville (4-1) could be the team’s stiffest challenge to date. The Cardinals were previously ranked No. 23 until an ugly 85-48 loss to No. 12 Wisconsin. Prior to that game, Louisville had won its first four contests against Evansville, Seton Hall, Prairie View A&M, and Western Kentucky.
Still, the Cardinals have proven to be a good shooting team. Led by guard Carlik Jones and his 17.3 ppg, Louisville has shot 49% from the field as a team this season. Jones is one of five players scoring in double figures, and two others, Quinn Slazinski and J.
