The Pitt volleyball team knew they would be in the NCAA Tournament. Sunday was just a matter of finding out where they were slotted.
As announced tonight in the selection show, the Panthers will enter the tournament as the No. 12 overall seed. As a result, they’ll host the first two rounds, facing 20-7 Iona first and then will need to take on the winner of Michigan and Navy, should they win the first match.
The hope was that Pitt would be one of the top 16 seeds to host the first two rounds as opposed to having to travel to Penn State again.
