The Pitt volleyball team opened up its ACC slate over the weekend and kept its perfect record intact. However, the same could not be said of Ohio State and Wisconsin, which came in at No. 3 and No. 2 last week, and as a result, Pitt rose in rank from No. 4 to No. 2 in the AVCA national rankings on Monday.
At this point, the only team ahead of Pitt in the national rankings is Texas, and the top three is rounded out by ACC rival Louisville. All three teams in the top three are undefeated, but that is certain to change, as Pitt and Louisville are set to square off on Oct.
