Pitt softball put together another 30-win season for the second year in a row and as a result, squeaked into the ACC softball tournament as the No. 8 (and final) seed. The Panthers don't have it easy, facing top-seeded Florida State in the round on Thursday at 11:00 a.m - it will be on ESPN3.
You might remember that Pitt met up with Florida State last season in the ACC Tournament. However, they didn't face them until the finals, losing that game 6-2, but still making the NCAAs.
Pitt probably needs to win the game to get into the NCAAs, so the fact that they are 0-11 all time against the Seminoles and were swept by them this season isn't all that encouraging.
