Pitt's softball team continued its winning streak with four wins this weekend playing out west in the San Diego State Tournament.
The Panthers defeated Utah Valley (4-3) and Portland State (1-0) in a pair of narrow games Friday night. Pitching sensation, freshman Sarah Dawson (who is fresh off of the first perfect game in school history), was instrumental in both games. She allowed only two hits in five innings during the team's win over Portland State and came in relief to pick up the win against Utah Valley State.
Pitt then scored an 11-3 win over Grand Canyon and 8-6 victory over San Diego on Saturday.
