On Friday, I mentioned several of Pitt baseball's position players having big seasons and ranking among the nation's leaders. Leading the way was shortstop Charles LeBlanc, who ranked in the top ten in batting average in the entire country.
This week, LeBlanc was named to college baseball's Brooks Wallace Award watch list given annually to the nation's top shortstop. He was one of 54 players named to the list.
LeBlanc's .432 batting average easily leads the team (he's up by almost .100 full points over outfielder Frank Maldonado) and ranks sixth in the nation.
