The Pitt baseball season is long over but the team's star shortstop Charles Leblanc continues to pile up awards. On Wednesday, he added two more to his growing pile of accolades.
Leblanc was named to the ABCAs All-Region First Team, for starters. But the bigger deal is that he also gained All-American status as he was named to the NCBWA's All-American Second Team.
Leblanc is the Panthers' 11th All-American (fourth Second-Team selection) in the program's history and the first since Casey Roche in 2013. Nearly all (eight) have come under long-time manager Joe Jordano.
