Jeff Capel and his staff have been on a recruiting hot streak, as Pitt has been named a finalist for Josh Hall, John Hugley and Cliff Omoruyi in the past week. On Wednesday, they received more good news, as Ebenezer Dowuona, a center out of the Heritage School in Newnan, Georgia, put Pitt in his top five.
The 6’10”, 220-pound center’s finalists included Denver, NC State, Pitt, San Diego State and USF. Over the past two months Dowuona has taken official visits to each school, with his most recent being to Pitt on Sunday.
Dowuona is considered a three-star recruit by Rivals and 247Sports, but ESPN has him rated as a four-star prospect.
